The Provost is Dartmouth's chief academic officer and chief budget officer, directly responsible for overseeing the overall academic integrity of the entire institution and for those operations transcending the work of a single faculty. Dartmouth's professional schools, major academic support units, and several other offices, academic centers and institutes report to the Provost.
